私は、二つの現実的で個人的な課題に向き合う中で「Missing Dance Showcase」を創作しました。 一つ目は「可視性」と「年齢」に関する課題です。ダンサーは年齢を重ねるにつれて表現の機会が限られていくことがあります。特に自分をよく知る人々の前で踊ることには、特別な緊張やプレッシャーが伴います。私は異なる世代のアーティストが自由と尊厳、そして自信を持って舞台に立てる場を創りたいと考えました。年齢は制限ではなく経験の深さです。ダンスは時間とともに失われるのではなく進化していくものだと信じています。 二つ目は経済的な課題です。台湾でソロ作品を上演する機会をいただいたものの渡航費や滞在費を自ら負担しなければならず、困難な状況に直面しました。しかし私は直接的に支援をお願いするのではなく、この状況を一つの芸術的な提案へと変えることを選びました。 本公演は入場無料とし、作品を通して感じた思いや価値に応じて観客の皆さまが自由に寄付できる形をとりました。それは単なる資金調達ではなく、信頼や連帯そして芸術の価値を共有する気持ちに基づいた「交換」の場となりました。 「Missing」は「不在」を意味するものではありません。何かが不確かであったり、満たされていないと感じるときに私たちが何を創り出せるのかという問いです。困難を動きへ、そして動きを新たな可能性へと変えていく試みなのです。 皆さまのご参加とご支援は私の今後の活動に大きな力となり、これからのダンス作品やプロジェクトの発展にも直接つながります。心より感謝申し上げます。 Arts For All dance company in collaboration with SLEEP WELL dance company created the “Missing Dance Showcase” in response to two very real and personal challenges. The first was about visibility and age. As dancers grow older, opportunities can become limited, especially when performing in front of people who know us closely. I wanted to create a space where artists of different generations could stand on stage with dignity, freedom, and confidence — a space where age is not seen as a limitation, but as a depth of experience. Dance does not disappear with time — it evolves. The second challenge was financial. After being invited to present my solo work in Taiwan, I found myself struggling to cover the costs of travel and accommodation. Instead of directly asking for financial support, I chose to transform this situation into an artistic gesture. The showcase was organized with free admission, inviting the audience to offer donations according to their feelings and connection to the performance. It became more than a fundraising event — it became an exchange built on trust, solidarity, and a shared belief in the value of art. “Missing” is not about absence. It is about what we create when something feels uncertain or incomplete. It is about transforming difficulty into movement — and movement into new possibility.
